Looking for a good man with a strong heart

I guess I'm looking for a best friend. I haven't had the easiest life thus far (but I've been shaped through my experiences and am continuously learning). My home life isn't great but in that I've a strong desire to one day have a family of my own where I can create the positive world that I wish I had. I'm a rather versitile person. I'm kind of reserved yet still enjoy being wild every so often. I'd like someone who'll go out or just stay in on a rainy day with a book. I'm also a very art oriented person and dabble in a little of everything. I'd love someone who appreciates the arts as well. I do look for someone with a tougher side as well. I tend to be attracted to guys with rough hands... men who know a hard days work and aren't opposed to getting dirty. I'm an extreme animal lover and can sometimes get a little obsessive over mine. Not in a "carry a dog wearing a sweater in my purse" kind of obsessive but my animals are my kids. I love to cook and am looking to be a veg/vegan chef, so handling meat and dairy is no problem for me. I'm not one to push my personal views on anyone, therefore I'm not particularly looking for someone who's veg/vegan, but it'd be nice. I'm sort of a Tom boy. I love to fish, hike and camp. Pretty much all of my friends are guys so jealous types need not apply. My friends mean the world to me and I wouldn't jeopardize them for anyone. I like being one of the guys, maybe enjoy a beer and a rare cigar. I'm not a smoker, but on super rare occasions when my stress level hits the roof (and it comes down to homicide or cigarette) I'll go for the cigarette (usually =P). But it's not a habit by any means. I guess there's more I could say but in the end I think the only way to know someone is by meeting them.
