I live in rural Missouri at a pioneering ecovillage. i've been here 7 years and have no intention of leaving. my life before this was totally different. i highly value ecological sustainability and am willing to forever change my lifestyle to demonstrate it. i seek to shrink my ecological footprint to the minimum size consistent with my best health and longevity. i practice long-range hedonism. my developed lifestyle will maximize daily health & pleasure, while also maxing a healthy longevity - with longterm pleasures. there are many conflicts in these goals requiring creative thought, experimentation, and compromise. it's a worthy adventure! i support myself building homes of earth, straw, and local wood for my fellow villagers. i live very frugally, on an annual income averaging 3000 dollars. i walk or bike everywhere i need to go. i rarely leave this county. my diet has become radially different: min. fat (10% or less), min. protein (12% or less), and max. greens, veggies, and whole grains. this diet gives max. health & longevity with the min. footprint. i'm very much a secure introvert - self reliant & independent- and rarely choose to spend my time in social settings. i relate well to others when i choose. an intimate partner becomes an 'insider' and i can become very close and trusting. i am not invested in male/female roles and believe they get in the way. i'm not very 'male' in truth, but learned to project the image for cultural acceptance. there's a good chance that i'm more sentimental & emotional than you are. you are self-reliant, independent, and are perhaps something of an introvert yourself. you are non-conformist and question cultural assumptions & expectations. you are not looking for the standard male/female relationship and dislike the roles. you are aware that this is not a healthy culture and you are moving toward a very different lifestyle. you are not afraid to leave the mainstream behind.
