I am an ethical vegan, independent, happy, devoted to pursuing my passions (reading, writing, music, outdoor adventures), but am eager to share activities with the right person. I tend to get wrapped up in my work and parenting life, but always seem to have time and energy for endless other interests: Don't own a TV, but I love movies; listen to public radio almost all day every day; read a lot--and I mean a lot: books, magazines, newspapers, web pages, grocery receipts, anything I can get my hands on; spend far too much time on my road and mountain bikes; love hanging out at coffee houses, people-watching and philosophizing (and reading and writing, of course); am always dreaming about the next bouldering or climbing trip; drink good coffee in the AM and good wine at night; and, last but not least, I love working in the kitchen--whether doing prep work, improvising a main dish, scrubbing pots, or just entertaining my hostess--it's all good. You, in no particular order: are "outdoorsy", are fit/athletic (or, heading-that-direction), have had one or more brushes with death, are vegan (duh!), might possibly (or, maybe just occasionally) be considered a deep thinker, have a wacky sense of humor and a quick wit, are fearless, can debate from sunset to sunrise about which is more beautiful, preferably don't wear a lot of makeup, and are probably not a corporate drone. If you have kids, they are the focus and highlight of your life. You're not overtly materialistic or worried about the future--you'd rather breathe fresh air and enjoy life, go climbing or for a run or ride or swim or do yoga, maybe even all of those things in one day. Big plus to a woman who can subsist on Luna bars and Gu for a day or two (or ten) at a time, or if your wardrobe includes a significant number of fleece, polypro, or wicking garments.
