A very smart woman that I admire a lot once told me her favorite quote and I found it to be really insightful... "Give me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." I don't really feel that it is possible to sum up my personality into one little organized paragraph so I have decided that I am not going to try. I am interested in meeting people that have interests that are similar to mine (or maybe people with interests that are very different from mine!), or at least people who are mild-moderately entertaining. I acknowledge fully that this is a fairly geeky way to go about meeting people. That being said, here is where I try to describe myself... I am a youngish "professional", however, my work is not at all how I identify myself. My love for cake is. Well.. cake, animals, and life. I like sharing my experiences.. and learning about other peoples' lives and about all of their interesting life experiences. I love all things crafty and artsy. I really like creating things. Anything from painting, knitting, sewing, writing, recipes... I love animals (all kinds - equally) and I think I am happiest when I am around them (and my family and friends, of course!) I am also happy when I am eating candy apples. I love reading. I especially love reading on the grass in the summertime...(or in the bath tub - any season)... and walking with bare feet on the grass in the summertime. I read anything from children's fantasy stories to really old literature, to non-fiction, to the type of books you would find in the cultural section of your local book shop, as well as the kinds of books you would find in the new age section. I also really like going to the library and walking through the aisles of books, picking out a special one to bring home with me. I have a childlike spirit and I don't really feel it will ever really be necessary for me to truly "grow up".
