Down-to-Earth Vegan
I am very young at heart (and told I look younger than my age). I'm a moderate drinker (wine only), good listener, vegan, animal lover and a good cook. I'm very passionate about the environment and treatment of animals, and don't think they should be kept in cages or subjected to cruel, inhumane experiments. I don't smoke or do drugs. I am not a Christian or religious at all, but do have a spiritual side — just not one that can be summed up in single word. I don't play games. I recycle. I buy organic foods and cruelty-free products. I am honest, kind, caring, compassionate, sensitive, pro-choice, open-minded, liberal, intelligent and creative. I despise Bush and Cheney, and count the days until 1/20/09. I'm not into bars or clubs or any place where people are smoking, but I do enjoy good conversation and long walks. I enjoy playing guitar, even if I'm not that good at it. I try not to get attached to things. I have eclectic musical tastes: Leo Kottke, the Beatles, Charlie Parker, Gorecki's Symphony No. 3, Pearl Jam, Grateful Dead, R.E.M., Stravinsky's ‘The Firebird,’ Fiona Apple, traditional jazz and blues, Pink Floyd, Nanci Griffith, Nirvana. I do PR and communication work for a living, but that’s just a job; my real passion is photojournalism. I love movies; a few favorites: My Dinner With Andre, Ghost World, Citizen Kane, Hilary and Jackie, Casablanca, Annie Hall, Election, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gods & Monsters and anything by Shakespeare. I treat others as I would wish to be treated. Most of all, I'd like to make a difference in the world and share my life with someone special in a loving, passionate, intimate, 50/50 partnership. A few of my heroes: Rosa Parks, Albert Einstein, John Lennon, Michael Moore, Jimmy Carter, Martin Luther King Jr., Joseph Campbell, Julia Butterfly Hill and The Dalai Lama. My favorite quote: “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
