Science-Based Medicine
I am one of 6.9 billion similar water filled lumps of carbon inhabiting a single pale blue dot upon which reside millions of different varieties of watery carbon lumps. My pale blue dot is one of several specs orbiting an ordinary G class star which is one of hundreds of billions in a galaxy which is one of billions more. Clearly I am special. --- I was born into a well-educated family, in a safe area of a wealthy nation. I was born able to expect thousands of times more to be spent on my health care than would be spent to save the lives of less fortunate members of my species. I was born in an era where I am free from slavery and persecution. I was born a member of a privileged species. For all the fortune I have received in my life I do the small bit I can to return my fortune to others. --- I run a blog dealing with science issues pertaining to the animal rights community. Look below for the link in my favorite websites. I'm also one of the top all time leafleters for Vegan Outreach, and the founder of the animal rights club at my alma mater. --- I also play soccer, run a photo & video scavenger hunt website, admire Carl Sagan, and administer a group health insurance plan for a living.
