Where will today take us?

If my own life is a film, what leading role am I playing, or am I playing one at all? Perhaps it is that of creator, or, more prosaically, artist, musician and professor. It is better to create than to be learned; creating is the true essence of life. --Reinhold Niebuhr And, within the desire to be immersed in creativity, I have developed an appreciation of life, gracefulness and beauty. I like to walk or run the fine beaches of Lake Superior; mountain bike or cross country ski through the deep birch and pine forests; hit the museums, bookstores and clubs on trips to the city. I like to travel -- recent destinations have been Paris and southern, eastern and central Europe including Crete, Athens, Vienna, Prague, Venice and the Alps. Most recently I have visited many of the great colonial cities and archeological sites of Mexico. I enjoy the motion of light on water; music of many varieties; a delicious Indian or Thai veggie meal; dancing until the sweat runs down; and a good workout!
