Vegan Passions

All this, and vegan too!

Well, I am an Aquarius, and artist, and armchair inventor living in Philly, a tough town with warm spots and soft edges under the gritty surface. I'm getting amicably divorced from my wife of five years in the hope we'll be closer friends afterward. I work as a graphic designer by day, and am rediscovering my creative unconscious on the job, at night, during red lights and anywhere else I can push aside the everyday for the extraordinary. I love old stuff, like rusted machinery, dinged up furniture, the smell of old books, stylish clothing from the 30's, and classic movies. I don't watch TV, as it makes you stupid, like eating Cheetos for the dairy content, and it makes you an addict to fake sensation instead of the real thing. I don't read newspapers or magazines (well, maybe Utne and VegNews), but I am a voracious reader of everything from O. Henry and Ursula Le Guin to Gary Snyder and James Thurber. I was once an average, tv-watchin', beer-drinkin, Kmart shoppin' Joe, but I had an epiphany moment that put me in the hospital and onto the path I was seeking all my life. I'm now transforming my life one day at a time, leaving behind the old baggage and embracing my treehugging, ecologial vegan future. Other than that, I'm dependable, a good listener that learned the virtue of just shutting up, a horrbile chess player, the worst but most exuberant dancer you have ever seen, a compulsive petter of dogs and cats I've met on the street, a questioner of answers, unable to pass by a garage sale or flea market without buying something, coffee addict (my lone vice), and able to read upside down. Did I mention LOTR geek, ecodesign wannabee and budding snowboarder?
