I am a 28 year old graduate student in the sciences with an interest in lived simplicity. I am primarily an eco-vegan (that and it's a well-worn aesthetic habit), but I see veganism as a personal movement against wants and selfishness or self-regard. I bike annually, and spend my summer outdoors when I can. I'm interested in meeting people who are sincerely compassionate and simple people; who enjoy meandering conversations about politics, spirituality, and contemporary intellectual movements (I've found I have many discussions recently about 'new rationalism', but anyway can't be compelled to a snarl by these injustices because their warm demeanor betrays them. These are people I am most drawn to and admire; selflessness, kindness and forgiveness are qualities these people may tend toward, even though their impulses might direct them toward rational self-regard.
